Under the name the can states exactly what the job is: PROTECTS DRAWINGS FROM SMUDGING & DUST. It comes in 150 ml, marked 108 g 3.8 oz, and 400 ml, marked 295 g 10.4 oz.
The yellow band is worth knowing on the shelf. Winsor & Newton's varnish cans in the same range are silver with a white or black panel, and they are for finished paintings. This yellow one is the drawing can, and spraying a varnish on a charcoal drawing or a fixative on an oil painting is a mistake that only shows once it has dried.

Can I use it on an oil or acrylic painting?
No. Professional Fixative is the drawing can — the yellow band marks it — and finished paintings take a picture varnish instead, which is a different product in the same silver range.
Will it change the colours?
It deepens tone slightly, most noticeably in pale pastels and light greys. Spray a corner of the same paper with Professional Fixative first and judge it dry before spraying a finished piece.
How far away should I hold the can?
