Thins oil colour and wipes brushes without filling a closed room with turpentine fumes.
The 75 ml bottle front on, naming Low Odour Thinner in five languages beneath the Oil Mediums banner.
Description
Most Pakistani homes do not have a studio. Oil painting happens in a bedroom, a spare room or a corner of the lounge, often with the windows shut against dust for months of the year, and that is the situation this bottle is made for. Low Odour Thinner does the same job as turpentine — thinning oil colour and washing brushes — without the smell that makes the rest of the household object.
The label is the black and red Daler-Rowney Oil Mediums banner, naming it in five languages: Low Odour Thinner, Diluant à Faible Odeur, Ölfarbenverdünner Geruchsarm, Diluyente De Bajo Olor and Diluente A Basso Odore. The liquid is water-clear through the glass, the bottle holds 75ml ℮, 2.5 US fl. oz, and the bottom edge prints Carefully read all safety information before use.
Now the honest part, because we sell the alternative too. At Rs. 1,999 for 75 ml this is Rs. 26.65 per millilitre. The Gold Star turpentine we stock is Rs. 210 for a 120 ml bottle — Rs. 1.75 per millilitre, roughly fifteen times cheaper. For washing brushes at the end of a session, that cheap turpentine does the job perfectly well and there is no reason to pour a premium thinner down a jar.
Where the low-odour bottle earns its price is the paint itself and the air you are breathing while you work. Use it in the mix and for the wiping you do mid-painting, keep the cheap turpentine in a jar for brush cleaning, and one 75 ml bottle lasts a very long time. That split is what an experienced painter does anyway; it is just rarely written down on a product page.
Low odour is not no odour, and it is not a safety claim. Ventilate the room whatever you are using, keep rags away from heat, and read the label's own safety information — a thinner is still a solvent.
It suits oil painters from about 12 years up. The Safencia price is Rs. 1,999 with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan. Stock, your city, and delivery charges are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.

FAQs
Is Low Odour Thinner worth fifteen times the price of turpentine?
For the paint and the air you breathe while working, often yes. Low Odour Thinner is Rs. 26.65 per millilitre against Rs. 1.75 for our Gold Star turpentine — so use it in the mix and keep the cheap turpentine in a jar for washing brushes.
Does it really have no smell?
Low odour is not no odour. Low Odour Thinner is markedly less pungent than turpentine, which is what makes painting in a closed room bearable, but it is still a solvent and the room should still be ventilated.
Can I use it to clean brushes?
You can, but it is an expensive way to do it. Low Odour Thinner costs about fifteen times what our turpentine does per millilitre, and a wash jar swallows solvent far faster than a palette does.
Will it change the colour of my paint?
It reads water-clear through the glass in our photographs, so it will not tint a pale passage the way a golden oil can. Low Odour Thinner thins the paint rather than adding anything of its own colour.
Is it safe to use around children?
Treat Low Odour Thinner as a solvent regardless of the name. Keep it away from children, work in a ventilated space, and follow the label's own line asking you to read all safety information before use.
Can I use it with acrylics?
No. Low Odour Thinner belongs to Daler-Rowney's Oil Mediums range and is for oil colour. Acrylics thin with water or with a purpose-made acrylic medium, several of which we stock.
How should the bottle be stored?
Capped, upright and away from heat. Solvent-soaked rags are the real hazard rather than the bottle itself, so spread them out to dry rather than balling them up in a bin.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Low Odour Thinner 75 ml in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
