Wood grain, print, stain or collage below stays part of the picture instead of disappearing under a white ground.
The 250 mL bottle front on, with the blue Clear Texture Gesso title above the gold band and a freshly coated board behind it.
Description
This is the gesso you buy when the surface itself is part of the picture. A white primer hides everything below it; this one is made to give the same grip without taking the view away. Wood grain, a printed page, a stained board, a collaged photograph, a coloured panel — all of them stay part of the finished work while still gaining a surface that paint can hold onto.
The label states its intent in the name and repeats it twice more: Clear Texture Gesso, Premium, then Gesso à Texture Claire and Gesso de Textura Clara, with 250 mL, 8.5 US fl. oz at the foot of the gold band. Our photographs show it going on with a wide flat brush across a pale board, and the wet coat reads white rather than transparent. That is normal for a clear-drying acrylic product, but we have not photographed a fully dried panel, so treat a test board as part of your first bottle rather than taking the dried appearance on trust.
The texture half of the name matters as much as the clear half. Like our white version it holds the marks of the brush that applied it, so the ground ends up with tooth rather than a slick face. On a varnished or factory-smooth board that tooth is often the difference between paint that grips and paint that slides.
It is the dearest of the three gessos we stock, and it is worth knowing by how much. Rs. 1,995 for 250 mL is Rs. 7.98 per millilitre. The White Texture Gesso is Rs. 1,620 for the same volume, or Rs. 6.48 — so you are paying about 23% more for the ability to see through the ground. If the surface below is not going to be visible in the finished piece, that premium buys you nothing and the white bottle is the better purchase.
It suits mixed-media painters, collage and altered-book work, and anyone painting on timber they do not want to lose. We list it for ages 12 and up; it is brushed on and left to dry before painting begins.

FAQs
What is clear gesso for?
Clear Texture Gesso prepares a surface for painting while leaving that surface visible. Painters use it over wood grain, printed paper, collage and stained panels where a white primer would erase the very thing they want to keep.
Is it genuinely transparent?
The label names it Clear Texture Gesso in three languages, and in our photographs the wet coat still reads white. Clear-drying acrylic products behave that way, but since we have not photographed a dried panel we would rather you proved it on a test board than took our word for it.
Is it worth Rs. 375 more than the white texture gesso?
Only when the surface underneath is part of the finished work. Clear Texture Gesso is Rs. 7.98 per millilitre against Rs. 6.48 for our White Texture Gesso, so you are paying about 23% more purely for transparency — and if the ground will be covered anyway, that is money spent on nothing.
Can I use it over an old painting I want to paint on again?
That is a common use for Clear Texture Gesso, and it lets the earlier image ghost through instead of vanishing. Make sure the old surface is completely dry and free of dust or grease before the gesso goes on.
Does it work on canvas as well as board?
Clear Texture Gesso can be brushed onto canvas, though canvas is usually primed white already, which removes most of the reason to use a clear ground. It earns its place on raw timber, panels and mixed-media surfaces.
How much texture will it leave?
That is decided by the brush and the pressure, not by the bottle of Clear Texture Gesso. A stiff brush dragged one way leaves pronounced ridges; a soft brush or a knife spread leaves a finer tooth.
How long should it dry before painting?
Wait until the Clear Texture Gesso coat is hard rather than tacky instead of working to a clock, since thickness and humidity both change it. In humid Pakistani weather a thick coat can want noticeably longer than a thin one.
Can I pay cash on delivery for Clear Texture Gesso 250 mL in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
