Our photographs show bristle ridges standing in the dried coat — the texture is the point, not a defect in the application.

Description
A plain primer smooths a surface. A texture gesso deliberately does not. This one goes on white and keeps the marks of the brush that laid it, so the finished ground has tooth — a slightly rough, grabby surface that holds pigment instead of letting a loaded brush skate across it. Our photographs show it brushed across a raw board with the ridges of the bristles still clearly standing in the dried white coat.
That tooth is the reason to choose it over a smooth primer. Dry brushing, pastel over acrylic, heavy impasto and anything scrubbed rather than laid on all work better on a surface with some bite. It also matters on the cheap smooth-faced boards and hardboards sold across Pakistani stationery markets, where a smooth primer leaves the paint sitting on glass.
The label is the Mont Marte Premium bottle livery with a grey band and a gold paint swipe: White Texture Gesso, Premium, then Gesso à Texture Blanche and Gesso de Textura Blanca, with the volume at the foot as 250 mL, 8.5 US fl. oz. Poured out, as one of our photographs shows, it is a thick cream rather than a runny liquid, which is exactly what lets the brush marks stand up instead of levelling out.
Set it against the other two gessos we stock and the choice becomes simple. This white one at Rs. 1,620 for 250 mL is Rs. 6.48 per millilitre. Our Clear Texture Gesso is Rs. 1,995 for the same 250 mL — Rs. 7.98 per millilitre, about 23% more — and buys you the same tooth while letting the surface underneath show through. Our Black Gesso is Rs. 5.10 per millilitre in a 500 mL jar but is a smooth black ground rather than a textured white one. White for a conventional bright start, clear to keep wood or collage visible, black to build from dark.
It suits painters from about 12 years up who are preparing their own boards and canvases. Brush it on, let it dry, and paint over it — it is a preparation material, not a colour.

FAQs
What makes a texture gesso different from ordinary gesso?
Ordinary gesso aims for a smooth ground; a texture gesso keeps a rough surface on purpose. The brush marks you leave when applying it stay in the dried film and give the paint something to grip.
Should I buy the white or the clear texture gesso?
Choose white when you want a fresh bright ground and do not care what is underneath. Choose our Clear Texture Gesso, at Rs. 1,995 for the same 250 mL, when the wood grain, printed paper or collage below needs to stay visible.
How is this different from your black gesso?
The black one is a smooth universal primer in a 500 mL jar that gives you a dark ground. This is a textured white ground in a 250 mL bottle. The decision is about the colour you start from and whether you want tooth.
Can I control how much texture it leaves?
Yes — the texture comes from how you apply it. A stiff brush dragged in one direction leaves strong ridges, while a softer brush or a knife spread leaves a subtler tooth. Test on a scrap board before priming the piece you care about.
Does it work on paper as well as canvas and board?
Heavier papers and boards handle it best, because a thick acrylic ground can buckle a light sheet as it dries. For paper work, tape it down flat or choose a heavyweight sheet.
How long before I can paint over it?
Let it dry fully rather than working to a stated time — a thick textured coat takes longer than a thin one, and Pakistani humidity changes it further. It is ready when the ridges feel hard rather than tacky.
Is 250 mL enough to prime a canvas?
It will prime several small to medium surfaces, though texture gesso is applied more generously than a thin primer. If you are preparing boards in quantity, our 500 mL Black Gesso is the larger jar on the shelf.
Can I pay cash on delivery for White Texture Gesso 250 mL in Pakistan?
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many other cities.
How fast is delivery in Pakistan?
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch. Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days in major Pakistani cities, depending on courier route and city.
